The Piers Simon Appeal (PSA) is a UK registered charity that aims to provide support to victims of disasters worldwide.

Launched as a donation appeal to generate funds for Koh Phi Phi at Piers’ memorial service the response was overwhelming and allowed the family run organisation to pursue it further. A board of 6 trustees was formed and charitable status was gained in May 2005.

The Piers Simon Appeal has helped disaster victims in seven different countries working along side makeshift and established charities.

To date the charity has raised over a quarter of a million pounds.  100% of the money donated is spent on our mission.

Mission Statement:
“ To aid the regeneration of communities and to alleviate suffering and hardship caused by disasters worldwide regardless of race, religion or politics. ”

How?
Following a disaster, a link is established with the community affected. Initial emails are exchanged to determine the severity of the event and the scale to which the Piers Simon Appeal can help. Where necessary a site visit is organised to conduct an analysis of disaster area; this in turn strengthens our relationship with the community and the designated contact in person. This is often essential as it provides the Piers Simon Appeal with a sense of security about the donation of money and the legitimacy of the work.

Once repair work has begun, our contact in the field is responsible for sending us electronic reports of the nature of work and progress.

Our patron is Michael Eavis CBE.
