How did Home Farm Festival start?

In 2006, local legendary band STORM played a private 40th birthday gig in Chilthorne Domer to raise funds for the PSA. At the end of the night, Drummer Dave Jacklin asked Henry Simon if he knew anyone who had a field so they could play an out door gig......... to which Henry replied, "Well we live on a farm Dave, come and visit and take your pick."

Dave felt that the Dutch Barn had more potential that the Tithe Barn and the wheels were set in motion. The first Piers Simon Appeal Concert (as it was called then) was held on July 15th. 

2006 - July 15. 3 Live Bands.
2007 - July 7. 6 Live Bands. 
2008 - July 5. 10 Love Bands
2009 - June 20. 10 Live Bands 
2010 - June 11-12. 12 Live Bands. 2 Day Event. First Posh Frocks and Wellies Classical Night .      
2011 - June 10-12. 17 Live Bands. 3 Day Event. Sunday added to make HFF 3 days 
2012 - June 8-10. 31 Live Bands. Second Stage added.
2013 – June 7-9.  54 Live Bands.  Tea Tent Stage added.  Folkroom Records involved
